Teacher-led Zen Practice
Every other class="meeting-time">Wednesday from 7:00-8:00pm (EST) in the Serenity Room in Gray’s Basement. Our meditation sessions are led by Bo-Mi Choi. Bo-Mi Choi is a Dharma Teacher in the Kwan Um school of Zen. She is also a former Social Studies professor and current resident at the local Cambridge Zen Center, where she has lived for nine years. Her meditation sessions offer students the opportunity to try new techniques and ask for guidance from an experienced practitioner. All of our sessions are open to beginners. Non-Harvard undergraudates are always welcome.
Student-led Zen Practice
On the off-weeks, we convene at the same time and place (7pm Wednesday, Serenity Room) for a meditation practice led by the HUMC co-officers or any of our wonderful members!
Sunday at the Cambridge Zen Center
On Sundays, we direct members to visit the Cambridge Zen Center for Young Zen, a weekly gathering of college students from around the Boston area. Each session is lead by a teacher in the Zen tradition at the Cambridge Zen Center; the teacher may provide motivational readings, open a topic for discussion, or provide insightful tips on how to improve one’s practice. To find out more about Young Zen, please send an email to humeditation@gmail.com to join our email list or visit the Cambridge Zen Center’s website: https://cambridgezen.org/young-zen/.
